We were so honored to have Mara Kahlo and Mara de Anda (grand niece and great grand niece to Frida Kahlo) speak at Lighthouse Artspace Houston - to open up Immersive Frida Kahlo to the great city of Houston, down in the Founders District. The duo opened up our event with some kind words about Frida's very important contribution to the art world and otherwise. We had a lovely evening (despite the weather's best efforts) - of beautiful music, incredible local food, and even a visit from Houston's own treasure and muralist Donkeemom. Donkeemom finished up a custom piece for our location as a tribute to Frida's legacy!
